HomeProtection
Layered protection for
compiled .NET assemblies.
DN Shield combines multiple protection techniques so they reinforce each other. Every capability below carries an honest build status — nothing here is presented as finished before it is.
Core obfuscation
The foundation: make decompiled output far harder to read and understand, without changing what the application does.
Identifier renaming
Renames supported classes, methods, fields and properties to less meaningful names, so decompilers reveal structure instead of intent.
In testingControl-flow obfuscation
Restructures supported method control flow so decompiled output is harder to follow, while preserving the method’s exact behaviour.
In testingString encryption
Protects selected string literals from straightforward static inspection, recovering them at runtime only when the application needs them.
In testingConstant protection
Transforms selected numeric constants and supported literals so their direct interpretation is less obvious in decompiled code.
In testingCode mutation
Applies carefully tested transformations to supported instructions and expressions while preserving the original results. Correctness comes first — nothing ships that is known to introduce errors.
In testingApplication integrity
Protect the shipped assembly itself — its metadata, resources and the integrity of the files you distribute.
Metadata protection
Configurable protection for supported assembly metadata, reducing the structural detail left behind in compiled output.
In testingResource protection
Configurable protection for supported embedded application resources.
In testingIntegrity & anti-tampering
Detects certain unauthorized modifications to protected components, making patching and tampering harder while staying compatible with legitimate distribution and updates.
In testingAnti-debugging protections
Measures that make attaching a debugger to a protected application more difficult. Under active development and hardening.
In developmentAdvanced protectionEnterprise
Enterprise extends the foundation with DN Shield’s independently developed virtualization engine and a planned application packer — for the logic that matters most.
Custom code virtualization
Translates selected methods into a custom instruction set executed by DN Shield’s own runtime interpreter, rather than leaving them as ordinary CIL. A working prototype exists and is under active development.
PrototypeAttribute-based VM selection
Mark sensitive methods for virtualization with the standard .NET ObfuscationAttribute — no proprietary library reference required in your code.
PrototypeAdvanced VM protections
Further hardening of the virtualization runtime and instruction representation. On the roadmap.
PlannedCustom application packer
An independently developed packer for bundling, compressing and protecting application components at distribution time. Planned, not yet built.
PlannedDeveloper experience
A commercial tool is only useful if it is dependable and clear about what it did. DN Shield is built around reproducible results and transparent reporting.
Windows desktop application
A dedicated Windows app with a straightforward assembly-protection workflow and configurable settings.
In developmentReusable protection profiles
Save and reuse protection configurations for repeatable, consistent builds across releases.
In testingDetailed protection reports
Clear reporting on what was protected, what was skipped and why. DN Shield never claims a method was protected when it was skipped or failed.
In testingOutput validation & warnings
Reliable output validation plus helpful compatibility warnings and clear error reporting.
In testingNo single technique is a silver bullet. No commercial obfuscator can make software impossible to reverse engineer. DN Shield’s goal is to combine compatible protections so that analysing a protected application takes substantially more effort, expertise and time.
